Services for Professionals

If you are in the business of providing care, chances are you already have some sort of dementia education program in place for your staff. Most standard dementia education programs teach a broad range of information about what they might experience, but no real useful hands-on skills for how to navigate those experiences when they do happen. This can lead to high staff turnover, injuries, and unhappy customers.
So, why hire Amanda to provide additional training?
Participants will...
-
gain NEW awareness and knowledge that most traditional dementia trainings don't cover, preparing your staff to provide the best care in the marketplace!
-
be exposed to fun and engaging multi-modal learning experiences that will help them hook and retain new information presented in each class.
-
practice new skills and techniques designed to promote positive care outcomes in even the most challenging of situations.
-
feel more confident in their ability to perform the duties of their job.

Dementia Care Skills Training
This 10-hour five-part series training program has a competency-based option to satisfy Texas House Bill 1673, requiring all Assisted Living Facilities' direct care staff to complete at least four hours of training with a passing examination before providing care services to a resident living with dementia.
It is highly recommended that each part outlined below be presented to your team on a separate day. This will allow learners time for processing and applying the information. Scheduling is flexible to accommodate your team's needs.
